RE/MAX Prestige Sponsors Charity Road Race
METHUEN, MA – On April 14th, the Dan Ford Foundation orchestrated the fourth annual Dan Ford Race, consisting of a 5K road race beginning at the Fireside Restaurant & Pub in Methuen. Over the entirety of the events, the USATF-certified race has raised between $25,000 and $30,000 to fund scholarships, donations to the Massachusetts General Hospital Pediatric Oncology Fund, and assistance to individual families dealing with a loved one with cancer.
“RE/MAX Prestige was and has always been an integral part of the process,” said Malcolm Fulford, President of the Dan Ford Foundation and RE/MAX Prestige agent. Malcolm even stated that he originally got the idea for the road race – which was founded in name of a close friend of his – from another RE/MAX agent at a regional conference. In addition to that, fellow RE/MAX Prestige agent Tom Courtney assisted Malcolm in accountability when he was first launching the foundation and road race. RE/MAX Prestige also contributed to donating water bottles to the runners.
“The entrepreneurial spirit and atmosphere at RE/MAX Prestige is second to none,” added Fulford. “In addition to providing the freedom and tools necessary in order to succeed in business, RE/MAX Prestige also encourages their agents to use those same freedoms and tools to help the community. I’ve received nothing but encouragement, mentoring, sponsorship, and participation regarding the Dan Ford Road Race.”
